Abstract

907,737. Air heaters. FEAL. June 23, 1960 [March 9, 1960], No. 21971/60. Class 64 (3). A space heater utilizing a heated medium e.g. water or steam comprises spaced metallic tubes 1 interconnected through a common delivery pipe 2 and return pipe 3, and detachably mounted sheets 4 engaging a pair of the tubes 1 so defining a channel for convection air currents. The sheets 4 are provided with semi-circular grooves 5 which conform to the tubes 1. A hood 6 fits over the pipe 6 and engages the sheets 4 by means of folded portions 8 and sides 9. The hood has perforations along at least part of its length from which warm air issues. A layer of varnish containing metallic powder, e.g. aluminium, may be applied to the tubes 1 to improve thermal conduction.
