Abstract
906,816. Radio receiver switch tuning arrangements. PREH, W., and PREH, A., [trading as PREH ELEKTROFEINMECHANISCHE WERKE, J. PREH NACHFOLGER. July 19, 1961 [July 20, 1960], No. 26214/61. Class 40 (5). In a television channel switch wherein fine tuning on any one channel is effected by an adjustable condenser 4, a plurality of preset cam discs 8, corresponding to the number of switch positions is carried by the movable part of the switch so that in any set position of the switch, the associated cam co-operates with the tuning segment 5 of the condenser to effect the fine tuning appropriate to the selected channel. Each cam 8 may be adjusted through gearing 10, 16 by a rotatable spindle 21, Fig. 2, which when depressed in the direction of the arrow shown is moved laterally by the conical bearing surfaces 24, 25 to bring the gearing 10, 16 into driving engagement with the teeth 811 of the cam disc 8 corresponding to the selected channel whereby the disc may be adjusted. The cam discs of all the channels may be preset in this manner so that accurate fine tuning may be effected automatically when the channel switch is operated.
