Abstract
906,560. Constant current systems; charging and discharging capacitors. BROOKHIRST IGRANIC Ltd. Dec. 1, 1959 [Dec. 8, 1958], No. 40760/59. Class 38 (4). A circuit for charging and discharging a capacitor C1 at constant current comprises a transistor T1 which regulates the charging current by having a substantially constant current passed between emitter and base from a source 1G1. A similar transistor circuit T2, 1G2 which acts as a short circuit in the charging direction regulates the discharging current. The arrangement may be used to control the current through a motor or other load to a constant value through another transistor T3 (Fig. 2, not shown).
