An educational or amusement device comprises a shallow tray T on the surface of which there are a number of set problems in areas defined, e.g. by grid lines 13, which areas may be covered by cards or blocks B having on one face the answer to one of the problems and on the other face a part of a picture or other device. A similar cover tray C is hinged to the tray T so that it can be closed like a book; the whole can then be reversed and opened to expose a completed picture if the problems have been correctly solved. The arrangement of problems and answers can be reversed and separate problem sheets can be provided to be placed in the tray.
