[Also in Group XXVI] A dual propellant rocket engine system comprises a tank and supply conduit for each propellant, a combustion chamber to which the propellants flow, a shut-off valve in each conduit, means for purging the conduits downstream of the shut-off valves and the combustion chamber responsive to the starting of the engine, and means for purging the conduits downstream of the shut-off valves and the combustion chamber responsive to the stopping of the engine. The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described in Specification 902,055. Specification 902,054 also is referred to.
