Abstract

A therapeutic composition for topical application in the treatment of Acne vulgaris consists of Vitamin A and/or A2 and/or a derivative (e.g. the palmitate) or pro-vitamin thereof and resorcinol dispersed in finely divided form in at least one polyalkylene glycol providing ointment consistency, e.g. "Carbowax 1500." Optionally there may also be present sulphur, chlorohexidine and its disalts, e.g. the diacetate, digluconate and dihydrochloride.
