Abstract
901,095. Pneumatic spring suspensions; adjusting body heights. WERKSPOOR N.V. Feb. 16, 1960 [Feb. 24, 1959], No. 5469/60. Class 108(2). A vehicle has at least two pairs 9 and 10, 11 and 12 of pneumatic suspension units s or groups of such units supporting its frame which is allowed thereby to move relatively of the units in both the horizontal and vertical directions, the height of the frame supported by each unit or group being maintained at a chosen value, and the units or groups are mounted on the vehicle so that the lines of action of each pair, 9 and 10 or 11 and 12, intersect (at A) in a plane perpendicular to the horizontal axis 11 of the vehicle. Means (not shown) are provided to adjust the strength of reaction of the suspension units in response to a change in position of the frame relative to the units.
