Abstract
Iridium strip having a thickness of 20-60 microns is annealed in oxygen at a temperature from 1100 DEG to 1800 DEG C. for 10 to 60 minutes, whereby knife edges are formed on the edges of the strip so that it is suitable for sealing-in in quartz.
