899,585. Book-rests; brackets. MOLONEY, J. Feb. 22, 1961 [April 13, 1960], No. 13105/60. Classes 52(3) and 52(5) A book-rest for use with a bed has an arm 1 which is secured by a bracket (not shown) to the bedstead or to a wall, an arm 2 pivoted thereto by a bolt and wing nut 13, an arm 3 pivoted to arm 2 by another bolt and wing nut 13 and a plate 6 with ledge 7 and fingers 8 is carried on a rod 5 which is slidable in a rubber ring 5B in the arm 3. A stay 4 can engage one of notches 1B. The plate 6 has pivotally secured to its rear surface a bracket 12 and notched plate 9 (Fig. 3) so that it may be used as a book-rest separate from the supporting arms.
