899,421. Cutting tools. JOHNSON, G. B. March 23, 1961, No. 10732/61. Class 83 (3). A parting tool adapted also to finish the rim edge of the stock and/or the workpiece comprises an elongated straight blade 10, Fig. 1, with a reinforcing rib 22 extending parallel to the edges 11, 14. The cutting ends of the tool are of shallow V-form to provide clearance and the sides adjacent the rib are bevelled at 17 and 18, Fig. 5, underside view. The rib 22 provides the chamfering or finishing edges 23, 24 and these may vary in distance from the parting edges 14, 16, to suit work of different diameters. The chamfer produced may be straight or rounded.
