898,669. Depositing weedkiller. VIDME, T. March 1, 1961, No. 7496/61. Class 6(2). A device for delivering weed killer comprises a sponge 4 connected with a reservoir 1 containing weed-killing liquid through a secondary sponge 7 arranged between perforated plates 8<SP>1</SP> and 8<SP>2</SP>, the distance between which can be adjusted to vary-the liquid-carrying capacity of the sponge 7 and adjust the liquid supply to the sponge 4. The sponge 4 is pressed against a weed or on to the soil beneath the weed and compressed against the plate 8<SP>2</SP> to apply the liquid.
