[Also in Group XXXII] To dampen vibrations and reduce noise when an engine starter pinion (not shown) in a motor car meshes a ring gear 36, a flexible sheet metal disc 12 bolted between the crank-shaft 10 of the engine and the casing 17 of an hydrodynamic torque converter is formed with fingers 37 bent outwards and engaging frictionally with a cylindrical part 23 of the converter casing, the ring gear being press fitted upon a peripheral flange 35 of the metal disc.
