In a fluid-pressure servomotor control system as described in the parent Specification in which a feed-back connection between the stem of a diaphragm-actuated valve and a pressureresponsive device subjected to a variable control pressure includes a torsion-rod, the relay valve actuated by the pressure-responsive device to control the pressure in the diaphragm chamber, comprises a pair of nozzles 29, 30, Fig. 5, normally closed by a nozzle closure flap tiltable about one or other of the nozzles to open one or other of the nozzles. The flap 31 is supported on a substantially U-shaped torsion leaf-spring 34, Fig. 4, mounted on a pivotally-mounted control shaft 35, which carries a lever 38, connected by a wire 39, Fig. 2, to a further lever 7. The lever 7 is secured to the base-plate 9 of a bellows unit 10 to which a variable control pressure is admitted through a pipe-connection 13, and to one end of the torsion-rod 2 in the form of a flat band-spring mounted in a tubular extension 1 of a housing 4 enclosing the various parts. The other end of the torsion-rod 2 is adjustably connected to a lever 20 which in turn is operatively connected to the valve stem of the diaphragmactuated valve. The outlets from the nozzles open into a chamber 28 connected to the diaphragm chamber, one of the nozzles being connected to a supply of compressed air and the other to atmosphere. Thus, depending upon the pressure in the bellows 10, the shift 35 rotates in one or other direction to vary the pressure in the diaphragm chamber and hence the flap 31 to control the amount of opening of the diaphragm-actuated valve. On movement of the valve stem, the levers 20, 7 and the torsion rod 2 re-adjust the position of the shaft 35 and thence the flap 31 with respect to the nozzles until equilibrium is restored.
