Abstract
896,833. Corrosion - resistant electrodes. DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHERDEANSTALT VORM. ROESSLER. Nov. 4, 1958 [Nov. 8, 1957], No. 35389/58. Class 41. An insoluble electrode for electrolytic processes, more especially for electrolytic oxidation, comprises a support consisting of a core of silver, copper or aluminium, which core is provided with a coating of titanium, which coating carries an effective electrode material in a closed or uninterrupted covering or in the form of a helix of strip or wire in direct contact with the metal of the core, or the core is provided with a covering of a wire fabric consisting of titanium coated wires and wires of the electrode material. As shown, a core 1, consisting of silver or copper, is enclosed by a coating of titanilun 2 and a helix of platinum wire 3 is wound on the support to serve as the effective electrode.
