Abstract

Linear aromatic polyester fibres are dyed with 1 : 4-diamino-2-nitro-anthraquinone. Dyeing may be effected at the boil, or at higher temperatures under pressure. The dyebath may include carriers, such as benzoic acid, salicyclic acid, cresotic acid methyl ester, o- or p-hydroxydiphenyl or trichlorobenzene.
