895,916. Laminates ; coated fabrics. BRITISH COTTON INDUSTRY RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. Sept. 30, 1959 [Oct. 7, 1958], No. 31908/58. Class 140. [Also in Group XXVIII] A thermal insulation material comprises (i) a metal foil having a layer of a hydrocarbon polymer or copolymer, e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene, bonded to one surface and a textile fabric applied to the other surface as in Specification 856,341, so that the fabric is rendered porous by rupture of the layers at some of the fabric interstices ; (ii) an aluminium foil around which a film of the polymer or copolymer is applied as a wrapping or as a lacquer; or (iii) a textile fabric coated by spraying with a suspension of aluminium flakes in polyethylene.
