Abstract
894,997. Colour television pick-up tubes. TESLA, NARODNI PODNIK. April 28, 1960, No. 14922/60. Class 39 (1) [Also in Group XL (b)] In a multi-signal colour picture pick-up tube employing a bombardment - induced - conductive target, light is passed to the photocathode 6 through a strip filter 3 in which the individual colour strips are separated from one another by neutral-gray to black strips, i.e. strips having the same absorption throughout the spectrum, and absorbing a substantial proportion of the light. As shown, the groups of three colour strips 14; 15, 16 are separated by opaque strips 18 twice as wide as the opaque strips 17 between the individual colour strips of each group. The target comprises strip 9 of bombardment-inducedconductive material opposite each group of 3 colour strips. In the gaps 19 opposite the opaque strips 18 the slow or fast scanning beam 10 impinges either directly on the signal electrode 8, or on suitable material filling these gaps; to derive indexing signals for controlling the progressive opening of the amplifiers of the individual signal components.
