Abstract
894,976. Soldering. STEELBANS, L. S., and SHMELOV, G. I. Nov. 24, 1959, No. 39795/59. Class 83 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] Two elements of a thermocouple, each consisting of a solid solution of bismuth telluride and antimony telluride or bismuth telluride and selenide are soldered to a bridge-piece using bismuth-tin alloy. The ends of the elements may be cleaned, dipped in molten stearin for 2 to 3 minutes, dipped in molten bismuth-tin alloy containing bismuth in excess of the eutectic ratio, and then soldered to the bridge piece.
