Abstract

894,571. Photographic diazotype materials. OZALID CO. Ltd., and FRANKE, R. H. May 13, 1958 [May 13, 1957], No. 15074/57. Class 98(2). Finely divided material which has a high degree of absorbency and is in the form of a dry or substantially dry powder is rubbed into the surface of a base support of fibrous material and then the support is coated with a light-sensitive composition. Diazotype compositions only are described for the purpose. In Example 1 silica is rubbed into raw base paper by a series of rotating brushes, excess is removed by an air jet and a specified twocomponent diazotype solution is applied. A second example includes rice starch with the silica, and finely divided alumina and clays are referred to for the purpose. Specification 647,197 is referred to.
