Abstract

893,394. Buttons. SILVER Ltd., CECIL. Jan. 30, 1961 [March 31, 1960], No. 11417/60. Class 43. A button comprises an apertured member 1 formed on one side with a central shank or boss 8 having apertures therein registering with the apertures in the member to facilitate sewing to a garment or other article and a cover member 2 adapted to receive and retain the apertured member to conceal the apertures and present a plain or ornamental outer surface. The apertured member 1 has a central aperture with two diametrically opposed apertures which register with two apertures in the boss. The outer cover member fits in a groove 10 undercut in the rim 9 of the outer member. Two clamping jaws on pivoting arms clamp the parts together, at least one jaw having a pad.
