Abstract

892,809. Projector carrying cases. VOIGTLANDER A.G. Dec. 30, 1960 [Dec. 30, 1959], No. 44856/60. Class 97(1) A carrying case for a removable optical projector has two superposed main chambers one of which, closed by a hinged and/or removable lid 2, receives the projector, while the other, divided from the first by one or more hinged and/or removable dividing walls 6, 7, contains a transformer 13 and a socket box 14 connected therewith, and chambers formed by intermediate walls for the reception of loose accessories. As shown, a projector 28 can be received within lid 2 fixedly or removably hinged to the underpart 1 at 3 to stand under pressure of elastic pad 30 in cushions 29 fixed to the main dividing wall comprising hinged parts 6, 7. Part 6 closes lower compartments formed by intermediate walls 11 and having pads 10 for the reception of loose accessories such as slides. Part 7 closes a chamber formed by wall 12 and housing a transformer 13 the output of which, selectable by knob 21, is connected via cable 22, to socket box 14. The plug 25 of projector cable 24 can be plugged into socket box 14 if a lowvoltage lamp is used, excess cable being wound round the drum-shaped outer surface of the box, the primary cable 15 of the transformer, otherwise stored in chamber 20, being connected to the mains. If a high-voltage lamp is used, plug 25 may be connected directly to the mains. A clasp 4 secures the lid 2 and a carrying handle 5 is provided.
