Abstract

891,298. Ventilators. PLAYER, G. E., and MICHAELIS, K. July 25, 1958 [April 30, 1957], No. 13676/57. Class 137 An air diffuser comprises a number of cones, e.g. four-shown in the drawing at 10, 11, 12 and 13-, a number of spacing rods 16, e.g. three, each fixed at the ends to the innermost and outermost cones 10, 13 and through holes in the intermediate cones 11, 12, and resilient collars encircling and gripping said rods and the cones 11, 12. Collars 17, 18 may be on opposite sides of the cone or each hole may have a resilient bush 19 with a groove 20 which is a tight fit therein on the edge of a cone. The ends of the rods 16 are detachably secured to the cones 10, 13, each rod having a threaded hole 22 and abutting opposite a hole in the cone 10, clamped to the rod 16 by a screw 23, with or without a washer 24, and engaging the cone 13 by means of an angle bracket having a limb 26 secured by rivets 27 and a limb 28 detachably secured to the rod 16 by a headed screw 29 and a nut 31.
