[Also in Group XVII] In a paste dispenser a rotatable base 2, 2<SP>1</SP> is coupled by a leaf spring 10 to a rotatable piston 7 displaceable within a cylindrical wall 1 by an internal thread 3. The base 2, 2<SP>1</SP> is rotatably mounted on a flange 1<SP>1</SP>. The leaf spring 10 comprises a strip bent in the form of an arc and has an aperture at its centre for location on an oblong prominence 8 under the piston 7. The ends of the spring are located in radial grooves 9. The contents of the box are delivered through an outlet 5 in a lid 4. A slipon cover 6 may be provided with a plug to close the outlet 5. Alternative methods for mounting the spring 10 are described.
