Abstract

889,422. Capacitors. CORNING GLASS WORKS. Feb. 10, 1958, No. 4275/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 37. The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 889,423, but the claims are concerned with a method of manufacturing a capacitor. A coiled glass dielectric ribbon, coated with adhesive, is continuously fed off one coil into another coil and, as a portion passes between the coils, sheets of foil are severed from a roll thereof, and disposed upon the surface of a drum around which the dielectric ribbon is passed, the ribbon having previously been trained over an electricallyheated pulley, whereby the sheets of foil are caused to adhere to the dielectric ribbon.
