Abstract
888,589. Photographic camera attachments. PYE Ltd. Oct. 7, 1960 [Oct. 7, 1959], No. 33998/59. Drawings to Specification. Classes 97(1) and 98(1). An attachment for a camera comprises a body in which is disposed a semi reflecting element, preferably adjustable, which reflects light passing through one aperture in the body. and transmits light passing through another, two relatively rotatable polarisers being arranged to intersect one light beam so that when they are crossed this light beam will be cut off. This optical arrangement may be actually in the camera body and the camera may be a cine or television camera and may be used in a liquid. One of the polarisers may be on the semi reflector. The second aperture may have a removable mask, or a rotatable polariser which is coupled to a rotatable polariser in front of the first aperture so that only one aperture is "open" at one time. The rotatable polariser in front of the first aperture may be rotated through gearing by means of a rotatable shaft. The part of the camera which contains the apertures may be rotatable about the optical axis.
