887,171. Suspending curtains. FRENCH & SONS Ltd., THOMAS. May 6, 1958 [May 8, 1957], No. 14582/57. Class 52(5) At least the rim a of a hollow, cup-shaped non- cylindrical wheel for a curtain runner is made of resiliently flexible plastic so as to spread its area of contact with the rail under the weight of the curtain. As shown the wheel is of progressively increasing diameter and made entirely of nylon, the hub b having a blind hole c to receive the stirrup and prevent contact thereof with the web of the rail. In modifications, the hub is openended and as shown in Fig. 4 the side of the cup springs from the side of the hub at e to increase resiliency.
