Abstract

Boots &c. are composed of at least two adherent layers of plastic or elastomeric material of which the outer layer is of transparent or translucent colourless composition and at least one inner layer is of coloured opaque, translucent, or transparent composition. The inner layer which is of uniform thickness and which is thinner than the outer layer may be made of polyvinyl chloride, a silicone resin composition, or a mixture thereof. The outer layer, which varies in thickness, or the inner layer may contain additions such as chopped tinsel, mother of pearl, or fish scales. The polyvinyl chloride plasticol used for the inner layer may be less viscous than that used for the outer layer. Specification 726,784 is referred to.
