Abstract

Plastic film bags, e.g. of polyethylene, have at least one slit shaped and oriented to provide at least one flap which is normally closed but is movable to an open position to provide air passage therethrough. The danger of suffocation of children when the bags are put to improper use (over the head) is thereby reduced. The bags preferably have a plurality of slits, optionally in rows which are staggered. The slits may be V-, U- or X-shaped.
