[Also in Group XXX] A lawn planting machine comprises three hoppers 10, 11, 12 for containing lawn seed, fertiliser and compost, the hopper 12 having a rotatable distributer 34 consisting of resilient fingers 15a which co-operate with resilient members 22b fixed on the hopper. The forward members 22b are fixed to a pivoted flap 26 retained in position by a spring 31, the flap yielding against the spring should foreign objects be fixed between the fingers 15a and members 22b. To clear the fingers 15a of material they engage with a flicking motion against a bar 38. U.S.A. Specification 2,733,838 is referred to.
