Abstract

885,430. Multiplex radio signalling. LOEWE OPTA A.G. Aug. 17, 1960, No. 28445/60. Class 40(5) A receiver for the reception of monaural or stereophonic signals is provided with means for automatically switching over the receiver circuits from monaural to stereophonic reception on tuning to a stereophonic transmission. An auxiliary or control carrier used in the stereophonic transmission is filtered out at the receiver and utilized to operate a relay effecting the required switching. A valve giving a visual indication may be used to control the relay, or a lamp may be provided to indicate a stereophonic transmission.
