Abstract

885,164. Tubular heat-exchange elements. KLEEN-E-ZE BRUSH CO. Ltd. Sept. 21, 1959 [Nov. 3, 1958], No. 35261/58. Class 64(3) Heat-dissipating fins for a tubular heatexchanger comprise loops 1 of wire, arcuate portions 2 of which contact the tube 3 over a length corresponding to a subtended angle of 80 degrees, and each loop being disposed at approximately 160 degrees to its neighbours. Preferably, the loops are bent out of a continuous length of flat or D-section metal tape and are continuously staggered around the axis of the tube.
