884,967. Preventing dimming of windows &c. AVIATION, MINISTER OF. April 28, 1959 [Feb. 27, 1958], No. 6369/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 20(3) [Also in Groups XXIII and XXXVI] A vehicle windscreen or other window is rendered free from misting by the provision of electrodes on its surface connected to an electrical circuit in such a way that mist removing means is brought into operation when the resistance between the electrodes falls below a predetermined value. As described, a pair of metal electrodes are sputtered or clamped to the surface of a vehicle windscreen and are connected to a bridge circuit fed with alternating current from an oscillator (see Group. XXXVI). When the bridge is unbalanced by moisture forming on the windscreen, the unbalance voltage energizes a hot air blower or a heating element.
