883,888. Methods and apparatus for photographic registration. BOGER, M. April 29, 1960 [May 4, 1959], No. 15219/60. Class 98(2). A method for applying an original with printing matter in registration with a sensitive film which after exposure may be treated by the diffusion process to transfer such matter to an offset plate for printing comprises placing the folder of Fig. 1, which is a transparent foil of the same length as the film but less'in width folded over to form top wall 1 with marking lines 3, 4 and bottom wall 2 on to copying glass 5 of exposure device 6, sliding the film emulsion side uppermost therein until it abuts the fold edge, sliding the original on top and aligning this by means of the marking lines, pressing original and film with one hand outside the folder while the latter is pulled put laterally with the other hand, whereafter the device is closed for exposure. The apparatus is the folder itself, and it may have a gripping strip projecting beyond the fold edge.
