Abstract

882,499. Sun visors. STEELE, C. C. D. Aug. 11, 1958 [Aug. 12, 1957], No. 25357/57. Class 103(2). A vehicle sun visor of wholly or partly opaque material comprises a main shield 1 adapted to extend across the width of a windscreen and carried by brackets 4 whereby it may be folded into an out-of-use position, and auxiliary shields 6 hinged at 5 to the ends of the shield 1, the shields 6 being foldable against the shield 1 or into positions at right angles thereto, in which they abut stop brackets 7. The brackets 7 on the ends of the shield 1 are provided with guides 7a in which are slidable bars 8, having crooked top ends 8b engageable over the edges of the shields 6, and finger pieces 8a, whereby the shields 6 can be retained in their outswung positions.
