Abstract

881,843. Sewing ribs for insoles. SHERBROOK, V. A. July 29, 1958, No. 24442/58. Class 17(2) Tape 14 is folded at one edge as at 16 (Fig. 3), and the folded portion B is cemented to the underside 20 of the tape. Adhesive tape 22 is secured at 24. The unfolded portion of the tape 14 is then folded under the tape 22 (Fig. 4) and secured thereto. The resultant rib, consisting of layers A, B, C, D has flanges E, F on either side, and is such that when the flanges are adhesively fixed to the insole 12 (Fig. 5), the rib stands erect.
