Class 39(4) Gamma-radiation from radioactive waste material is decreased by mixing waste material with gallium metal or a gallium containing alloy e.g. with germanium or ividium. The mixture may be mixed with water and stored in tubs formed of a concrete mixed with vermiculites which contain gallium.
