In a rotary machine of the n and n+1 lobetype comprising rotors 11, 12 mounted in a partitioned housing 13 having an induction chamber 14 and a pressure chamber 15, the outer rotor is encircled by induction and pressure control rings 16, 17 respectively. The ring 17 consists of a rotatable portion and an adjustable fixed portion 22.
