880,395. Nuts. BRITISH ELECTRICAL & ALLIED INDUSTRIES RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. Feb. 3, 1960 [Feb. 9, 1959], No. 4463/59. Class 89(1). [Also in Group XX] A screw-threaded rod 4, which actuates a piston in a device for measuring the moisture content of fibrous material, engages a nut formed by two pivoted segments 16 held together by a slide 23 which is locked by pin 26. On releasing the pin 26 and moving slide 23 to the right, surfaces 24 thereon move the segments 16 apart to allow the rod 4 to be axially moved without rotation.
