879,381. Automatic temperature-control systems. TERMOSTATIK A.B. April 10, 1959 [April 14, 1958], No. 12225/59. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XIII] An automatic temperature-control system for a plurality of boilers supplying an heating installation through a flow conduit Ls, Fig. 1, and a return conduit Lr comprises thermostats T60-T80 in the return conduit which through relays C1-C3 control the light-up or extinguishing of burners O1-O3 of boilers P1- P3. Ganged switches SA1-SA3 are operated manually or in response to a time signal, to alter the allocation of the thermostats to the boilers so as to render more uniform the wear of the boilers. In a modification, Fig. 2, thermostats T60-T80 feed signals to switches SA1-SA3 through contacts r1-r3 of relays R1-R3. When a start signal from the thermostat T80, through the switch SA1, fails to ignite the burner of the selected boiler within a predetermined time, a fault signal from the boiler, through a switch SB1, actuates the relay R1 to close a contact r1<SP>1</SP> and open the contact r1 to transfer the thermostat T80 through switch SA2 to ignite the burner of the next boiler in the selected sequence.
