876,137. Yarn packages. CHEMSTRAND CORPORATION. June 23, 1959 [June 30, 1958], No. 21526/59; Class 94(1). [Also in Group XXV] A yarn package containing for example, nylon thread on a warp beam 11, is protected by a wrapper 17 wound into overlapping relation about the yarn, and held in place by elastic straps which gird the circumference of the package. The straps (see also Group XXV) may be of plaited nylon cord 18 having metal band extensions 22, 23 joined by a deformable seal. 24. The yarn ends are held in place by adhesive tape 16. The elasticity in the straps prevent wrapper looseness due to yarn shrinkage.
