An arrangement for operating a keyboard or the like in accordance with code combination signals includes first and second counters, means operable by the signals of a code combination to set each of the counters to register a value, which is representative of that code combination, and a plurality of electromagnets adapted to be energized selectively under joint control of the counters, each magnet being energized in response to the registration by the counters of values representing a particular code combination and being effective when energized to operate a key of the keyboard which corresponds to that particular code combination. The subject-matter is the same as part of that of Specification 875,012.
