Class 64(2) [Also in Group XXVI] The variable area inlet nozzles 31 of a' turbine are actuated by a series of bimetallic elements 6 located in the inlet manifold 5. Each bimetallic element 6 is made from sections of laminated metal strip 6a, 6b with the strip 6a which has the larger coefficient of thermal expansion on the outside of each fold.
