Class 97(1) A magazine slide holder having an open side includes a spring-loaded barrier engaging the lower parts of the forward edges of the slides which may be depressed by a part contained in the projector to clear the slide edges and so allow their passage into the film gate of the projector. As shown in Fig. 1 the spring-loaded barrier is a bar g integral with, or secured to, a plurality of spring blades h so that as the magazine is pushed past the deflector plates p (in either direction) in the projecting apparatus, the bar is gradually tilted to successively free those slides approaching the film gate o, and then to move gradually into the fully obstructive position.
