A removable top A of a vehicle is supported at its rear part in spaced relationship S<SP>1</SP> to the vehicle superstructure by means of two angled supports W which are releasably held by the screws 16 to the brackets 15 attached to a transverse body member Q. A slide 24 is used to hold the top A releasably to the members W. The weather seal between the top A and the body is at the forward part of the gap F.
