Abstract
Wet, fibrous nitrocellulose is rendered safer for transport and storage by subjecting it to a compressive force of minimum magnitude P= 2M+6400, where P is the pressure in lbs./sq. in. and M is the median fibre length in microns. The nitrocellulose may be wet with water or an alcohol. The resulting sheet or flat particles are preferably broken down by a mild granulating action.
