[Also in Group X] A drier capable of being fixed between two facing vertical walls includes a cross-bar 1 comprising two telescoping elements 2, 3 which can be fixed in relation to each other by a screw 4, the element 3 having at its free end a pivoting bar 9 and the element 2 having at its free end a hinged locking handle 18 associated with a pivoted bar 21, the bars 9, 21 having hooks 24 for the reception of cords or lines for conveying the articles to be dried and being supportable against the vertical walls by means of rubber pads 14, 26. The bars 9, 21 cach incorporate a channel iron 10 or 20 embracing a wooden batten 11 or 23 fitted with the hooks 24.
