Abstract

869,030. Refrigerating. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Nov. 6, 1957 [Nov. 7, 1956], No. 33973/56. Class 29 Means are provided to vary the effective thermal conductance between the evaporator passages 15 and the thermal control bulb 18, thus varying the temperature at which the evaporator operates. As shown bulb 18 is clamped to that part of the plate evaporator which is separated from the evaporator passages by a slct 20 along which a metallic bridge 21 can be slid and clamped in position to shunt the slot wholly or in part. The bulb may be mounted on the plate separated from the evaporator plate by insulating material adapted to be bridged.
