Abstract

868,173. Gas burners. HARPER-WYMAN CO. June 30, 1959, No. 22458/59. Class 75(1). A gas burner comprises a ring of narrow elongated discharge slots 40 and a second ring of discharge ports, parts of which are disposed below the slots 40. As shown the second ring of discharge ports comprises circular apertures 44 and slots 42 arranged alternately. In a modification the second ring of discharge ports comprises slots disposed between but lower than the slots 40. The discharge apertures are formed in an aluminium cap 14 detachably secured to a steel base 12 having an inner wall 24 which slidably receives the inner wall 26 of the cap 14.
