868,050. Supporting overhead rails. MORRIS Ltd., HERBERT. March 4, 1960, No. 7750/60. Class 104 (2). A means for suspending tracks of overhead conveying systems comprises in conjunction with a selected length of tube 11 a pair of rods or bars 12 fitted tightly within the tube ends and affixed to an overhead rigid support and conveyer respectively, the bars or rods 12 being formed with one or more grooves or depressions 13 into which the tube 11 is crimped to lock the parts together. The bars or rods 12 are threaded to receive eyebolts 15 or hooks. Two suspension devices 20, 21 may replace or be supplementary to the single suspension device 10. In an alternative arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), two suspension devices are bolted at one end to a block 17 and extend upwards at diverging angles for attachment to an overhead support.
