Abstract
867,218. Refrigerators. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. Dec. 3, 1959 [Dec. 5, 1958], No. 39237/58. Class 29 In a refrigerator door provided with a shelf 13 in a recess in its inner liner 11, the recess having vertical sides 14, a guard rail 17 is adjustably mounted on sides 14 so that its spacing from the recess can be varied to suit different sizes of articles, e.g. bottles on the shelf. As shown, the liner is formed to provide down each side 14 a recess 23 containing a tapping plate 24 carrying a stud 28 which selectively engages with one of two notches 19, 20 in the inturned ends 16 of rail 17, the rail being then secured by self-tapping screws 30 taking into plate 24. According to the Provisional Specification, a detachable but unadjustable guard rail may be secured by a similar arrangement.
